About Ginny Youngblood
I've always enjoyed art and always wanted to be able to draw and paint and create something from a blank piece of paper or canvas. As a child I had no talent or gift of creating anything except a stick figure. I always heard..."You can't draw" and those words stuck with me for years. Why try to do something that everyone says you can't do?
Years later I ignored those words and picked up a pencil and began drawing characters and places that I was writting about. It has been a wonderful journey for me.
I'm a self taught artist of many mediums. My first love is drawing with pencil. I rediscovered watercolor a couple years ago and fell in love. It's a joy watching how water and colors can almost create something on it's own with just a touch or gentle nudge from me.
I'm still growing as an artist and I hope that I never grow up.
